Asalamualaikum!!! Eid Mubarak!!!! As I sadly bid farewell to Ramadan, I welcome the blessed festival Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid is the celebration at the end of Ramadan where muslims dress up in their best clothes and head to masjid in the morning to perform a special prayer. After the prayer is over, everyone hugs and kisses each other displaying our sense of unity. Usually on Eid, we have a large feast for breakfast and dinner. Children anticipate Eidi, which are either small presents or money from the adults. Its the celebration to display our unity and thankfulness.
The day before Eid is called a chand-raat. Girls usually get together and do each others henna. My mom did my henna this year and it turned out beautifully.
This year I wore this gold and brown anurkuli. Its from pakistan and Im obsessed with it. Its as long as a maxi dress which makes perfect for twirling. I wore a gold headband around my forehead to give my plain hijab a little oomph. All in all, this day was magical and I felt like a princess in this dress.
Eid Mubarak to you and your families! May Allah guide us to the right path! Ameen.
