Eid Mubarak!!!!! Alhamdulillah for everything. Today of Eid-Ul-Adha, the biggest holiday in Islam. During the celebration of Eid al-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember Abraham’s trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel, or goat. To read more about it, I would advise looking into authentic websites or consulting with a person of knowledge. But in basic terms, Its sort of like Thanksgiving. We go to pray a special Salaat early in the morning and hug and kiss our fellow muslim brothers and sisters after the prayer is done. It truly shows the unity that is often invisible in the muslim community.
My dress is actually a one of a kind. My uncle took my moms old sari and created two beautiful outfits. One for me and one for my sister. I love the maroon and the gold combination with the bright green. During Eid- Ul-Adha, your not suppose to dress as fancy but I wanted to go all out. My sister did my henna for those who were wondering. She actually has an instagram dedicated to henna—-> @wardashenna
Inshallah until next time<3
